The Albuquerque SANE Collaborative

The Albuquerque SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners) Collaborative serves sexual assault and domestic violence victims by providing immediate, compassionate, culturally sensitive, and comprehensive medical treatment and forensic evaluation by nurse experts. We provide victims of sexual assault and domestic violence care in an empowering setting that addresses emotional and medical needs. All care is comprehensive, timely and patient centered. Our services are always confidential and free and available 24 hours a day.

NM Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs, Inc.

NMCSAP leads the state’s efforts to reduce sexual abuse and sexual violence by providing training and technical assistance to service providers, law enforcement officers, prosecutors, medical practitioners, and mental health professionals. NMCSAP also collects and analyzes sexual assault and domestic violence data and produces annual reports of the findings.​

Enlace Comunitario

Enlace Comunitario is a social justice organization led by Latina immigrants whose mission is to eliminate domestic violence in the Latino immigrant community and promote healthy families in Central New Mexico through: comprehensive domestic violence intervention services in Spanish, preventative community education, policy advocacy and leadership development

Haven House

Haven House is the only domestic violence shelter for Sandoval County, population 137,608. Services include: Emergency shelter, case management, support groups, Life-Skills classes, legal advocacy, referrals to job opportunities, housing and other supportive services, therapeutic counseling for both women and their children and children's programs.

NM Department of Health

Find facts and the latest statistics here. Sexual assaults are acts of violence where sex is used as a weapon. Assaults are motivated primarily out of anger and/or a need to feel powerful by controlling, dominating, or humiliating the victim. Victims/Survivors of sexual assaults are forced, coerced, and/or manipulated to participate in unwanted sexual activity. Victims/survivors do not cause their assaults and are not to blame, offenders are responsible for the assaults.

Community Against Violence

CAV offers a 24-Hour Crisis Hotline (575.758.9888) for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. We provide legal and medical advocacy services, counseling and support groups, children’s programs, community prevention and outreach programs, and are able to provide information and resources for those in need. CAV also has an on-site emergency shelter for adults and children, and offers short and long-term transitional housing programs.

La Piñon

La Piñon is the only full-service sexual assault response agency in Southern New Mexico, providing comprehensive sexual assault recovery services for sexual abuse victims and their families. Located in Las Cruces and serving Doña Ana County, we also provide services in Truth or Consequences, Deming, Lordsburg, and all areas of southern and northern Doña Ana County. All our services are bilingual and bi-cultural.

Crime Victim Reparation 

CVRC is dedicated to providing a variety of services to victims of crime. CVRC was formed in 1981 under the Crime Victims Reparation Act. Our primary mission is to provide financial assistance to victims of violent crime in regard to expenses incurred as a result of being victimized.

New Mexico Legal Aid

Rape Crisis Center 

To provide support and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and abuse within Central New Mexico, and to serve as a community resource on issues regarding prevention and awareness of sexual violence.

NM Coalition Against Domestic Violence

Established in 1979 and incorporated on May 15, 1981, New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NMCADV) provides support and assistance to domestic violence programs across the state. The NMCADV coordinates local and national responses to domestic violence. We work closely with the New Mexico state legislature to enact policies, processes, protocol and laws that will positively impact our communities.

New Mexico Attorney General

Victim Services is part of the Advocacy and Intervention Division. Victim Services is committed to offering resources and support to victims of crime and their families. The Office of the Attorney General recognizes the importance of victims’ rights and is committed to working proactively to ensure that those rights are upheld throughout the criminal legal process.
